Socially Distant Newborn Photography
What does that look like?
Essentially, the images are more of a lifestyle shoot. Capturing you and your little one together in thoughtful and artistic images using composition and lighting. Similar to those found in this blog.
Can I still have wrapped newborn style photography?
Yes of course you can still have the popular wrapped images, the only difference is that the photographer will have to guide you to wrap your own baby.
Why can’t you wrap my baby?
During this pandemic, photographers should not be handling your baby. Your baby’s immune system is not developed and so contact should be limited to safety only.
Do I need to come to a studio?
I come to you, as long as you have the space. The shoot can take place in your home, wherever I can set up my equipment. This gives you peace of mind. You don’t need to travel on public transport, or prepare lots of items ‘just in case’ and you and your baby are in the comfort of your own home.
Does the shoot still need to take place within the first 2 weeks?
Ideally yes, baby changes alot during the first few months so you would want to capture it as early as possible. However, it is not as important if baby is not going to be wrapped. The baby maybe more alert and the greater the delay, the greater the likelihood that baby will be awake during the shoot. This may or may not work for you and is something to consider for the type of shoot you want. If the delay is beyond a coupe of months, then you are looking at more of a baby shoot.
